The Chamois Town of Kitzbühel (30 km)

Kitzbühel was formerly a city that lived from silver mining – but now Kitzbühel is known for its ski races (Hahnenkamm races) and its lovely old town. There is plenty to admire here, such as the Franciscan Abbey, the birthplace of the skier Toni Sailer, the fountain with the frolicking chamois, the Liebfrauenkirche Church (“Church of our Dear Lady”) and the unmistakeable town centre with its old buildings and gates.

Wattens

The city of Wattens is located in the Tyrolean Unterland region and is primarily known for the Swarovski company. Each year, visitors come from all over the world to visit the Swarovski Crystal Worlds with its fascinating and glittering chambers, really worth a trip! Also notable is the only typewriter museum in Austria in Wattens, and the museum for industry and prehistory.

Innsbruck
